A Hakka custom museum was opened to public yesterday (Sept. 19). The museum is located at the bank of Wanlv Lake of Heyuan, northeast of Guangdong Province.
The museum provides a muti-angle introduction of Hakka culture and customs.
A total of 30,000 items are displayed here, including more than 5000 items telling the story of Hakka ancestors' migration and their settle-down in Heyuan.
The museum covers 1,000 sq. meters and has 11 exhibition halls, displaying poetry, folk art, housing, food, local customs, farming tools and culture-related artifacts.
