Ten people have been confirmed dead after a construction site accident in Jiangmen City.
Five people are in hospital and another five are still missing, according to local government sources.
About 10 a.m. Tuesday (October 7th), part of a supermarket under construction collapsed, burying 20 people.
The local government sent a team of 500 rescuers to the site. By 8 a.m. Wednesday (October 8th), 15 people had been rescued and sent to hospital where 10 were confirmed dead.
The local government immediately ordered a halt to all construction projects for one day for safety checks. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
