"Raise the flag, sing the national anthem!" With a resounding order, chorus of the national anthem echoed in 55 primary and secondary schools of Guangzhou.

On the morning of May 31, organized by the Guangzhou Daily, the Guangzhou Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL), the CCYL Guangzhou Young Pioneer Work Committee, children representatives of 56 ethnic groups, together with Guangzhou's young pioneers, participated in the "League Day" activity with "national unity, rejuvenation of the Chinese nation" as the central theme. They expressed their love and blessings to the motherland and their wishes of serving the motherland in the future.

Under the national flag, 55 schools each paired with a school of ethnic area and signed a Mutual Assistance Agreement.

A variety of performances were held at the Hui  (ethnic minority group) School, the main venue of the event, extending warm welcome to ethnic friends.
