According to a recent survey, vocational and technical workers are in great demand in Guangzhou. Next year about 145 thousand vocational and technical workers, especially in the fields of numerical-controled machine tools, die and mould, car maintenance and computer stenography will be needed .
According to the statistics released by Guangzhou's south China human resources market, vocational and technical workers have ranked among the top 10 most needed jobs every month from last year to this year. Vocational employment ranks fourth overall, only after marketing, management and computer professions.
