China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 10.4 percent in the third quarter of 2006, down 0.9 percentage points from the second quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday in Beijing.
China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 10.7 percent in the first three quarters of 2006, down 0.2 percentage points from the first half year.
"The tendency of the economy growing a little bit too fast has been brought under check," NBS's new spokesperson Li Xiaochao said at a press conference.
