The State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China on Friday announced that duty-free commodities sold in the country can now be marked with the Renminbi (RMB) price besides the foreign currency. Previously, only foreign currency was accepted for all duty-free commodities sold in China.
According to the new policy from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, duty-free shops are allowed to open foreign exchange current accounts in accordance with relevant policy, and to directly put the foreign exchange money they get from selling duty-free commodities in such accounts.
