Fit saloons roll off line

Four new types of Fit saloon come off of assembly line recently and will put into market on Sep 22nd, announced Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou Stadium yesterday (Sept. 12).

Fit saloon targets the ballooning middle class in China, which is reported to be increasingly interested in high-end goods consumption, such as auto and housing.

The four types of all-new Fit saloons are: Fit saloon 1.3 LMT 5-speed Manual (Price: 96,800 Yuan); Fit salon 1.3 Automatic CTV (Price: 106,800 Yuan); Fit saloon 1.5 LMT 5-speed Manual (Price: 106,800 Yuan); Fit salon 1.5 Automatic CTV (Price: 116,800 Yuan).

Guangzhou Honda has introduced Accord, Odyssey and Fit saloons to the market over the past six years from its establishment, with a marketing volume growth from 10,000 vehicles in 1999 to expected 211,500 vehicles this year. At present, Guangzhou Honda has a daily output of 1,000 vehicles to meet the increasing demand of market.

Fit saloon, put out last September, have sold 58,071 vehicles, while Accord tops the monthly marketing in the past four months, accounting 20.2% of the high-end sedan market.¡¡
