As the birthplace of Chaoshan culture, Chaoshan region serves as an important part of Lingnan culture. Enjoying a history of 1,700 years, Chaozhou is renowned as a national historical and cultural city for its well-known overseas Chinese, ancient buildings and intangible cultural heritages.
