Have you ever traveled to Guangdong's Chaoshan region? The region comprises the cities of Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang, plus neighboring Fujian province. If not, here is a gateway for you since the Chaoshan version of Guangdong culture and tourism passport was officially released on September 15, 2021, enabling you to visit the representative scenic spots in this region.
The passport allows you to collect commemorative stamps and win commemorative badges from each scenic spot you have visited. It featured ten famous destinations in Chaozhou and Shantou, including Guangji Bridge and Nan'ao Island.
In addition,a Q&A session has been set up for the first time, containing a total of 100 questions about the related scenic spots. Those questions are divided into ten groups with answer stickers randomly packed in the passport, so that you can participate in the quiz activity with prizes.
Meanwhile, the passport is also accompanied by ten customized exclusive badges featuring ten scenic spots as prizes and the ultimate prize is a solid bronze medallion.

The passport is embedded with an RFID chip and can be identified by the specific automatic stamping machine. Not only can you get the stamp on a self-service stamping machine, you will also be able to play interactive games or AR\VR mobile games with the help of this passport.
As the birthplace of Chaoshan culture, Chaoshan region serves as an important part of Lingnan culture. Enjoying a history of 1,700 years, Chaozhou is renowned as a national historical and cultural city for its well-known overseas Chinese, ancient buildings and intangible cultural heritages. Shantou is one of the earliest cities in modern China to open to the outside world in 1860. It is home to many cultural relics of the Maritime Silk Road.

How to get a passport online:
From September 19, you can receive the passport for free at the following ten scenic spots with your ID card. One passport for per person, first come, first served. Alternatively, you can also follow the official WeChat account named "神州印记" (pinyin: shen zhou yin ji) for more detailed information in Chinese.
