Zhongshan reports one new asymptomatic COVID-19 case

Zhongshan today on January 25 reports one new asymptomatic COVID-19 case among the quarantined close contacts related with Zhuhai’s case.

The case is a 10 year-old female, student of Guangsheng Primary School in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City. She lives in Phase 5, Jinxiu Sunshine, Tanzhou Town (坦洲镇锦绣阳光5期). The individual was identified as a classmate of the case from Guangsheng Primary School in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City on January 16, and was transferred on the same day to centralized isolation hotel in Zhongshan. 

The nucleic acid tests on January 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 were all negative, and the nucleic acid test on the evening of January 24 was initially positive. On January 25, the patient was rechecked positive. At present, the case has been transferred to a designated medical institution.

Guangdong CDC: Report if you’ve been to these four places

On January 24, Guangdong CDC issued an important reminder: due to 2 new COVID-19 local asymptomatic infections reported in the border port city of Khorghas, Xinjiang, and Shanghai adding a medium-risk area, these people are suggested to pay attention:

If you have a travel history to the following places or with an overlapping trace with cases reported in these places, please report to the community where you stay, and cooperate with corresponding health management:

Kazak Autonomous Prefecture of Ili, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (starting January 17),

Fengxian District and Pudong New Area, Shanghai City (starting January 17),  

Jing'an District, Putuo District, and Baoshan District, Shanghai City (starting January 4).

If you have been to a land border port city within 14 days, you need to hold a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours before leaving.
