Update | Another 7 international flights to Guangzhou suspended

Between May 10th and 19th, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced the suspension of seven international flights to Guangzhou.

Five passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight CZ6092 from Vientiane, Laos arriving in Guangzhou, China on April 29th, which has led to a two-week suspension of the flight, starting from June 6th.

Nine passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight CZ308 from Amsterdam, Netherlands arriving in Guangzhou, China on April 30th, which has led to a one-week suspension of the flight, starting from May 23rd.

Five passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight MH376 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia arriving in Guangzhou, China on May 2nd, which has led to a two-week suspension of the flight, starting from May 23rd.

Five passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight CZ350 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia arriving in Guangzhou, China on May 6th, which has led to a two-week suspension of the flight, starting from May 23rd.

Five passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight KQ880 from Nairobi, Kenya arriving in Guangzhou, China on May 7th, which has led to a two-week suspension of the flight, starting from May 23rd.

Eight passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight CZ308 from Amsterdam, Netherlands arriving in Guangzhou, China on May 7th, which has led to a two-week suspension of the flight, starting from May 30th.

16 passengers tested positive for COVID-19 on flight MH376 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia arriving in Guangzhou, China on May 9th, which has led to a four-week suspension of the flight, starting from June 6th.

Quota for these above-mentioned flights shall not be used for other routes. CAAC also requires those airlines to provide services, such as passenger comfort, ticket refunds and changes on subsequent flights, in line with the requirement of local embassies or consulates.
