The 26th Guangzhou International Art Fair (GZAF) (Autumn) will kick off at the city's Nanfung International Convention & Exhibition Center from December 17 to 20, 2021. In addition to four thematic exhibition halls and various exhibitions of famous artists, the Fair will also set up a special zone for the sharing of Lingnan arts and culture, the GZAF International Arts Award and a series of salons.

The Fair focuses on creating several art-themed exhibitions, including exhibitions of famous artists, a landscape painting exhibition, an oil painting exhibition and a contemporary arts exhibition.

It will set up a special zone showcasing Lingnan arts, working together with time-honored galleries and artists who cooperate with Guangzhou International Art Fair to curate the exhibitions. Through these efforts, visitors can further make sense of the culture, classic arts and urban landscape of Lingnan region.

The Fair highlights four thematic exhibition halls according to the types and characteristics of the artworks displayed. The International Exhibition Hall features solo exhibitions of artists and thematic group exhibitions. The Contemporary Exhibition Hall will showcase an array of contemporary artworks in various forms. The Gallery Exhibition Hall will present pieces from renowned artists who are from the Chinese National Academy of Arts, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Guangdong Art Institute, the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the China Academy of Art. The Collection Exhibition Hall will mainly display artworks from domestic and overseas collections, allowing art lovers to immerse themselves into the show.

Moreover, the Fair will hold the first GZAF International Arts Award, which aims to honor outstanding artists for their creative achievements in this field.

Last but not least, the event will hold a series of salons, inviting famous artists, critics, collectors, art investors to have dialogues and discussions on how arts can be integrated with the academic field, markets and with modern times.

Enjoying a history of 25 years, Guangzhou International Art Fair has attracted many art institutions from both China and abroad to participate. It serves as an important window for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
