27 state-owned enterprises land projects in Nansha, investment up to 41 billion RMB

27 Guangzhou’s municipal state-owned enterprises invested new projects in Guangzhou’s Nansha district with the total value of 41 billion RMB on June 9.

These projects cover such areas as artificial intelligence, new energy, aerospace, biomedicine, financial services, infrastructure construction, 13 projects among which are expected to bring more than 20 million RMB investment respectively.

According to Nansha government, state-owned enterprises play an important role in Nansha’s development. 35 projects invested by municipal state-owned companies are under construction in the district. These projects worth more than 20 million RMB each and their total investments exceed 94.6 billion RMB.

In 2021, the municipal state-owned enterprises in Nansha achieved total revenue of 222.27 billion RMB, an increase of 22.6 percent compared with 2020.

Li Yibo, Chairman of the Guangzhou Port, addressed at the ceremony that Nansha is the major area to develop international shipping industry in Guangzhou.

Guangzhou Port Group maintained in-depth cooperation with Nansha. Its 32 subsidiaries have registered and invested more than 50 billion RMB in the district.

According to Nansha government, the Guangzhou Port will cooperate with Guangzhou Nansha Asset Management Group Corporation on the sea-rail intermodal project in the south of Longxue Island.

In addition, Guangzhou Data Exchange Ltd. Co. was inaugurated and settled in Nansha District at the signing ceremony.

Luo Junfu, Chairman of Guangzhou Exchange Group, said that Guangzhou Data Exchange Ltd. Co. will contribute to establishing digital infrastructures and promoting industrial digital transformation in Nansha. The corporation will provide services on data transactions, data product development, data processing and storage support and blockchain technology.
