What is it like when Chinese folk music meets rock and roll, electronic, and pop music?
On February 1 and 2, the "China Music House Crossover Concert" will be presented at the Guangzhou Opera House. A company of post-90s folk musicians, who come from the Beijing Chinese Orchestra or are active in the music industry, will perform a repertoire that combines folk music classics, golden oldies, and rock music.

In this concert, the audience will enjoy a reinterpretation of a classical repertoire, including Song of the Phoenix, Ambush From All Sides, and A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains. These select pieces will be performed in a variety of genres, such as rock and electronic, and newly composed electronic folk music will be presented as well.

This performing group is a group of young folk musicians of the "China Music House" project, consisting of percussionists, flutists, suona, erhu, pipa, and guzheng players. All group's core members are first-class performers from the Central Conservatory of Music and the China Conservatory of Music. As practitioners of a new generation of Chinese folk music, they are committed to creating unique folk music and have been invited to many concerts and festivals.
