The train journey between Shenzhen and Shanghai will become shorter by seven hours and 30 minutes to 17 hours and 54 minutes after the sixth national railway acceleration takes place Wednesday.
And the journey from Shenzhen to Fuzhou, Fujian Province, will be shortened by one hour and 39 minutes to around 17 hours. The time for rail journeys to other major cities will also be shortened (See table).
Shenzhen Railway Station announced changes to the timetables of 20 trains departing from Shenzhen after Wednesday including eight on the Beijing-Guangzhou railway, 11 on the Beijing-Kowloon railway and one to Shantou.
The ticket fares for ordinary trains remain unchanged after acceleration and residents can dial 61380021 for inquiries.
