This Spring Canton Fair is the first time that the export trading platform becomes an import-export two way trading platform. The guest sources are increasing more than before and the airways are working overtime largely to meet the needs. Southern Airlines said on April 11, 2007 that it would add 39 extra international flights and 402 extra domestic flights during this Canton Fair.
According to insiders of Southern Airlines, the increase and decrease of guest sources during the first and second sessions is expected to resemble the humps of a camel. The arrival peak for the first session will be from April 12 to 15, and the departure peak from April 19 to 20. And for the second session, the arrival peak will be from April 22 to 24, and the departure peak from April 29 to 30.
This is the first year that importers are exhibiting at the Canton Fair. Southern Airlines will increase extra flights on its international routes, mainly on the round way routes of Guangzhou – Hong Kong and Guangzhou – Bangkok. The Guangzhou – Bangkok round way route will increase from one to two extra flights daily from April 11 to 21, while Hong Kong will also increase by almost 20 flights during Canton Fair.
