Shenzhen today will see more of the heavy rain that lashed the city yesterday, according to the city's observatory.
Shenzhen recorded heavy rain in most parts of the city yesterday, with Shatoujiao in Yantian District recording 42.4 millimeters of rainfall within an hour. The observatory issued a yellow alert for rain at 5:50 p.m. yesterday.
The rain yesterday and today is the heaviest recorded in the latter half of November in nearly a decade, according to the observatory.
As the rain will reduce visibility, the observatory reminded people to drive carefully. It also warned people against thunderbolts.
The rain is expected to ease after tomorrow.
