Thirty-six winners from the Chinese Kung Fu Star TV Competition will be gathered at the Shaolin temple from Sep 1 to 9 to practice Shaolin kung fu.

The 1,500-year-old forbidden areas for ordinary people will be opened to the public and be recorded on television as well, according to Dengfeng in Henan province.

The 36 winners will live with and learn Shaolin kung fu from master monks during that period. They will also be shown forbidden areas for the monks' cultivation and martial arts practices.
