CITY Inn, a budget hotel chain owned by the Shenzhen-based Overseas Chinese Town Hotel Group, opened its fourth hotel in Shenzhen on Saturday (Aug 19).
According to Cai Ning, president of the group, agreements on six more hotels have been signed, and in the next five years, more than 50 City Inn hotels will open throughout China in cities such as Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
The fourth hotel, called City Inn Zhuzilin, is located in the Zhuzilin area near Shennan Thoroughfare and is easily accessible from the nearby bus stops and a metro station. It is 15 kilometers from the Shenzhen Railway Station and 30 kilometers from the city's airport.
According to Andreas Obrist, general manager of the group's hotel management arm, all the City Inn hotels are of three-star standard and have no more than 200 rooms. A room costs about 300 yuan (US$37) per night including breakfast.
City Inn is so far China's only homegrown franchised budget hotel brand.
