New flights to London provides second route between Europe and Australia

China Southern, one of the country's major airlines, will launch direct flights from Guangzhou to London starting June 6 as another choice for passengers to travel between Oceania and Europe.

The flights will operate three days a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. They will take off at 9am from Guangzhou and land at 3:25pm, while the returning flights will depart at 10:30pm every Wednesday and Friday, arriving at 5:30pm, and depart at 6:25pm on Sundays and arriving at 1:25pm local time.

The flights will be run by Airbus A330-200 wide-body airliners. Each flight offers four first class seats, 24 for business class and 189 in economy class, totaling 217 seats.

As for the ticket price, a first-class seat costs RMB 88,000 for round-trip, business class RMB 49,680, and economy class RMB 17,830. A special offer as low as RMB 3,650 will be available for booking in advance.

China Southern is one of the world's largest airlines. It has 28 flights flying from Guangzhou to European cities Amsterdam, Paris, London and Moscow, while 38 flights fly to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland. The Guangzhou-based airlines aim to connect the two continents by a faster and more economical route.

According to China Southern, the lines to Cairns and Adelaide will be launched soon, and the current lines to Australia and New Zealand will be enhanced. By the end of 2015, it expects to have more than 110 flights traveled between Guangzhou and the two countries.
