Boeing 787 Dreamliner have finished the Dream Tour in China on Dec.4 - 11,with stops in Beijing, Guangzhou and Haikou, The tour showed the public the revolutionary technology and passenger innovation firsthand.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the first mid-size airplane capable of flying long-range routes. There are some unique advantages:

Unparalleled Performance

In addition to bringing big-jet ranges to mid-size airplanes, the 787 provides airlines with unmatched fuel efficiency, resulting in exceptional environmental performance.

Made from the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) material, the airplane uses 20 percent less fuel than today's similarly sized airplanes. It will also travel at a similar speed as today's fastest wide-bodies, Mach 0.85. Airlines will enjoy more cargo revenue capacity.

Advanced Technology

Composite materials make up 50 percent of the primary structure of the 787 including the fuselage and wing. Modern systems architecture is at the heart of the 787's design. It is simpler than today's airplanes and offers increased functionality and efficiency.

New engines are used on the 787. Advances in engine technology are the biggest contributor to overall fuel efficiency improvements and quiet interior environment.

Comfortable Interior

The 787's cabin windows are larger in area than all other civil aircrafts in-service or in development, with dimensions of 27cm×47cm, and a higher eye level so passengers can maintain a view of the horizon.

Cabin air is provided by electrically driven compressors using no engine-bleed air. An advanced cabin air-conditioning system provides better air quality with higher humidity, which provides the passengers a clean and comfortable cabin space.

The Boeing 787 has been put into Chinese market this year. "Chinese airlines including Air China, China Southern, Hainan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines have been played a key role in bringing this game-changing airplane to the market, we appreciate them to get initial commitment to the first airplane of 21st century.” senior vice president of sales & Marketing for Greater China and Korea, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Ihssane Mounir said.
