A daily flight between Shenzhen and Osaka will open Oct. 31, an Air China spokesman said Friday.
The flight will take five hours and 45 minutes, with a 50-minute stopover in Shanghai.
It will leave Shenzhen at 2:20 p.m. and arrive in the Japanese city at 8:15 p.m. local time. The return flight will depart Osaka at 9:30 a.m. and reach Shenzhen at 1:25 p.m.
The aircraft will be a Boeing 737-800 and the flight numbers will be CA163 and CA164.
The Shenzhen-Shanghai-Osaka flight will be the third international passenger flight to originate in Shenzhen. The other two are to Singapore and Bangkok.
The spokesman also said Air China would open a Tokyo-Shanghai-Shenzhen flight in the near future. A source of the Shenzhen airport company surnamed Zheng said a direct flight between Shenzhen and Kuala Lumpur would open this year.
Between Oct. 31 and Nov. 30, passengers will be able to enjoy a promotional return fare of 2,950 yuan (US$356) between Shenzhen and Osaka.
