Pipe work in new airport finishes

Water pipes for the New Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport were finished ahead of schedule and started to provide clean water to the airport and neighboring areas last Saturday.

With an investment of over 150 million yuan, the project provides the airport with 220,000 tons of water from two sources every day, which can insure that when some pipes cannot work properly, there is still another source to provide 70 percent of the normal water supply.
