Air Macao is to open a flight line between Shenzhen and Taipei, Taiwan via Macao on March 9th, sources from related departments reveal March 7th.
Air Macao's Air Bus A319 will have two return flights per day, carrying 120 persons per flight. The flights depart at 12:40 and 20:25 from Shenzhen, and the return flights arrive at 11:50 a.m. and 19:35.
The new flight will take only 3 hours. Compared with the current routes, it will save at least a half by skipping the process of flight connection and immigration inspection in Hong Kong and Macao.
To take the flights, mainland visitors are required to bring with them valid Taiwan Travel Permit for Mainland resident and valid Taiwan Entry Visa while other passengers need related papers as required by other customs.
