Yuexiu Park will reopen to public before the Spring Festival after a facelift.

The park, which was established in 1981, is the first entertainment park in China. It was the most advance entertainment facility in China at that time.

The roller coaster had carried millions of visitors and was dismantled in 1998. Gold Horse Entertainment Equipment Co. Ltd. in Zhongshan City acquired eight-year operation rights to the facilities in the park through public bidding.
