There will be no man-made scenery at a suburban park on Qiniang Mountain, according to a new layout of the park.
No permanent buildings are planned for the mountain in Nan'ao Subdistrict in Longgang.
The park's headquarters will be at the Daxin community at the foot of the mountain and will include a service center, a mountain climbing training camp, a medical center, a science museum and a parking lot. There will be a few shelters and environment-friendly toilets on the mountain.
Some 90 million yuan (US$10.8 million) will be spent on the 40.3-square-kilometer park.
The plan is subject to the approval of the municipal government.
The 869-meter mountain is at the southeast end of Dapeng Peninsula. A plan has been drawn up to build the peninsula into an eco-peninsula with sustainable development by 2020.
