A major renovation project of Foshan Ancestral Temple will be launched for the first time over the past 105 years. The project coordination office has been set up. Foshan cultural department said, minor renovation and regular maintenance have never stopped, but no major reparation work has been done since the year 1899. But due to the dampness, insect pest and leaking roof, hidden troubles are founded in recent two years. Foshan government gives priority to the maintenance work of the Temple. One million yuan has been raised for the preliminary work of inspection, design and other costs.
