Editor's Note

The third Tripartite Economic Alliance Summit will start in Guangzhou from November 8 to 10, 2017.

Since late 1970s, Guangdong has been acting as the pilot province of reform and opening-up for almost 40 years. And recently, Guangzhou, the capital city, sets to be an international “hub city” which aggregates global talents and resources for cooperation and development.

Thus, the alliance formed between Guangzhou and its two mutual sister cities, Auckland and Los Angeles, is a crucial move to further open economy. This year, the event will offer partnering opportunities for trendy industries, including innovation, e-commerce, biomedicine, animation and etc.

Before the upcoming summit, attendants from Guangdong’s enterprises review their previous gains and express their expectations on this year’s event.

We attended since the very first summit and signed a cooperative agreement with a VR company based in LA. With their technology support, we then released a VR drone that provides experience of ‘flying in the sky’.

This year, we will exhibit our latest Ehang 184, an autonomous drone that can transport passenger and their belongs. We are looking forward for the discussion with our Auckland partners and hope we could apply this model to the energetic tourism industry in NZ. ” More

The Tripartite Economic Alliance gives us more insights into the overseas markets while providing us numerous chances for cooperation.

Since 2016, we has established an international R&D and marketing center in Los Angeles to alter our products to fit overseas preferences. The center attracted talents from 25 different countries, among whom there are executive managers from Bandai and Disney.

This year, we hope to further communication, and look for more investment opportunities in both Auckland and Los Angeles based on their specific demands. ” More

We are working on a co-produced animation with the high-profile New Zealand animation studio, Pukeko Pictures. Amazed by the way in which our partner approach the design process, we learn and adapt to the standards required of a world class production.

In the meantime, we are using our resources to help the animation enter the Chinese market. And we will sign another cooperative agreement during this year’s summit and further the cooperation with the New Zealand’s counterpart. ” More

I see the three cities complement each other especially in the culture industry, making a complete industrial chain. Hollywood is the world’s creative center while Auckland is famous for its post-production. And Guangzhou, we have a huge market and some fast-developed technology teams.

As an urban project integrated various 'knowledge industries', we plan to build a film and animation base so that we could gather players from three places. And we have made a successful move with the Sino-New Zealand co-produced animation project WotWots Kiddets settling here.” More

This’s the first time for us to attend the summit. Our company started from introducing overseas equipments and technologies, till now we have created lighting and sound systems ourselves, providing more powerful user experience in live shows.

Through this summit, we are looking for chances to put our technologies onto stages in Los Angeles while introducing latest post-production technologies in New Zealand to upgrade services. Besides, we are eager to show overseas representatives the way in which we inject technologies into culture and tourism.”
