Many visitors to Tibet would love to visit Lake Namco, which is to the south of Lhasa, about 260 km away. The name Namco means heaven in Tibetan Chinese, and it really can provide the serenity and calm of heaven. The Namco Lake is located at height of 4,718 meters above sea level, covering an area of 1,940 sq. m, the highest located one of its kind, and the second biggest salt water lake in China.
