    Step through the entrance and over the glass walkway covering a slue of wine bottles, this trendy bar offers modern but basic decor and a place to relax with seating either inside or outside, where every you prefer. To keep you coming back for more then offer many specials including order two bottles of beer and receive free cigar. Also while they aren't big on food, if you order up four steaks they'll throw in a free bottle of Bordeaux. An accordion player stops by every Friday and Saturday to provide the entertainment.

    Located in the middle of the west side of the Tianhe sports complex. A very posh place, with extremely elegant attendants that will lead you into a HUGE room, there are 3 floors on which to sit and watch the center stage--A Boxing ring! Yeap, here is the place to bring your date for some really romantic Kung Fu fighting and Kickboxing daily between 2100-2300.Excellent seating and prices, that is if you are the owner.

Let's Do Bar
    Great place if you are a student of South China University of Technology or know where that is .Otherwise forget it, ain't worth the trip, but if you happen to be in the neighbourhood, do stop in, It is just to the west of the entrance to Hua Gong. Good sounds, friendly staff, plenty of dart boards and if you get really bored, karaoke. Great prices on the food and drinks, just not a big selection.

Sleepy Wood Cafe
    Located behind the holiday Inn, the place is hip and cool with a rustic decor. They claimed that all the wooden furnitiure, ie wood tables, chairs and rails are made of old railroad ties (Not sure about the wooden ashtray, which looks like it's cut right out of a tree). The music played ranged from the Righteous Brother to the Beach Boys and Boss Nova Jazz, promising something for everybody. Most beers are priced at 25 rmb a bottle with spirits weighing in at 25 rmb a glass and 380 rmb a bottle and any from their long list of cocktails at 30 rmb each.

Sportsman's Bar
    Open over three years, The Sportsman's Bar is one of the favorites with the ex-pats living around Tao Jin Road and offers a relaxing environment with basic decor. For entertainment, true to its name they have a regular sport programs shown with an occational (once a month) live Folk band cranking out the music. Give them a call on that one. H/H is between 5:pm to 8:00pm where beers are sold 2 for 1,which works out to a VERY cheap 100 rmb for a doz. Draft Carlsberg rings in at 15 rmb a half,25 rmb a pint and 55 rmb a pitcher. Sol, Corona, Tsing Dao and other favorites are price at 18 rmb and under.

My Way Club
    Located in the maze of apartment buildings down the street from the South Gate of Teem Plaza, the bar is small but brightly lit with a cool blue light eminating from the glass enclosed section of the floor, while the air was filled with rock music from old to new.The beers include the usual line up of Heineken, Sol, Carlsberg, Budweiser and Tsing Dao around 18 rmb a bottle or 210 rmb a doz. Draught beer rings in at 10 rmb a mug and 38 rmb a pitcher.

One Bar/Yi Jian jiu Ba
    Located at the other end of the block from Teem Plaza, take a left and down another block to Lu Yin Street, dubbed Tian He Bar Street by the locals. The bar is dark and a bit of a dump. They could have livened the place with some entertainment or even a happy hour ,but no ,none of that frivolous stuff, this place is just for drinking. A good selection of beers at 30 rmb and under for a bottle,120 rmb/half doz and 220 rmb/doz. If you're looking for wine, they have red Great Wall at 128 rmb for the large bottle and 68 rmb for the smaller bottle.
Too expensive for the location and the atmosphere. Really a local's hang out.
