The second phase of the 96th China export commodity fair opens in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province today (Oct. 25).
Nine exhibition areas with 6693 exhibit booths are set in Pazhou Complex for daily consumption goods, While eight areas with 7484 booths in Liuhua Complex are for exhibition of gifts. For a number of intellectual property right (IPR) violation cases had been caused in these industry fields in China, the fair will make extra effort in IPR protection in this phase.
According to the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province, in the first phase, the trade volume of corporations from Guangdong province hit 3.996 bln USD, up 34.35% over the same period of last year, accounting 22.83% of the country's total.
