On January 29, Guangdong Provincial Agriculture Bureau and Zhaoqing Municipal People's Government celebrated World Wetland Day in Zhaoqing, and inaugurated the Zhaoqing Xinghu Wetlands Park, the first wetlands park in the country.

On the same day, the 21st session of Chencun Flower Market opened in shunde. This is the county's largest Spring Flower Market and displays and sells about 2,000 different kinds of flowers. Flower markets spread 60 square kilometers all over Chencu within the 10-kilometer green corridor on both sides of the Fochen highway.
