Lately, Guangzhou environment sanitation system rapidly launched the Environment Sanitation & Cleaning Emergency Plan in Spring Festival Transportation, establishing the Emergency Leader Group led by Director Lv Zhiyi.

In response to the environment sanitation problem caused by the stranded passengers, over 800 sanitation engineers were newly reinforced to the key evacuation and rest places for the passengers, including the Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou Railway East Station, bus passenger stations, Canton fair complexes, etc., among which 300 were added to the Guangzhou Railway Station. Over 300 dust-bins were added and prepared in these places and 217 portable public toilets were peremptorily added and opened to the public for free. At the same time, some key areas were cleaned 24 hours a day. And over 20 barreled garbage carriers and waste compressors were added to these places for direct collection and transportation, which can deliver over 300 tons of waste to ensure the intraday cleanup of the waste.

In addition, to ensure the basic needs of the passengers, the Guangzhou Environment Sanitation Bureau also transferred 10 water wagons on 24-hour standby to ensure the water supplies in the key areas for washing and rinsing. Moreover, the Bureau also donated over 3,500 square meters of cardboard and more than 10,000 garments and quilts for the stranded passengers to rest and keep out the cold.
