Residents in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, queue up to buy vinegar that is believed to help kill the pneumonia virus Tuesday.
People in the city swept shops clean of medicines and sent the price of vinegar soaring after a virulent strain of infectious pneumonia killed five people in the province.
Officials said the disease has basically been brought under control.
