No SARS cases reported May 20

There were no new SARS cases in Guangdong during the 24 hours ending at 10 AM yesterday.

8 patients were released from hospital and no one died. 17 suspected cases were reported. The total number of SARS cases in Guangdong was 1514, with 1363 patients recovered and 56 dead. The total number of suspected cases was 257. There were no cases found in Maoming, Yangjiang, Yunfu, Jieyang, Meizhou and Qingyuan.

There have been no SARS cases for over 20 days in 9 cities including Foshan, Zhongshan, Shaoguan, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Shanwei, Huizhou, Shantou and Heyuan. There have been no cases in Chaozhou for more than 15 days and in Jiangmen and Zhanjiang for over 10 days.
