The tourism cooperation and development agreement is signed by Guangdong Province and Hunan Province in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province on Jun 4 just after the conclusion of Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Cooperation and Development Forum.
With rich tourism resources, the two provinces are of great potential on cooperation and development. According to the latest statistics, a total of 3.2 million tourists from Guangdong visit Hunan per year. This will give the birth of the golden tourism Chunnel.
From May 31 to Jun 4, a delegation of Guangdong tourism sectors, leading by Tang Bingquan, Executive Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, visits Hunan Province to promote the regional cooperation.
The agreement signed by the two provinces includes 9 concrete measures: -- Work together on researching, exploring and promoting the tourism cooperation and development -- The two tourism sectors promote tourism products for each other. -- Sharing foreign traveler resources. -- Holding high-profile meeting per year for information exchanges -- Setting up cooperation platform for tourism companies to smooth the barriers in cross-regional traveling. -- Mutually linking tourism websites to have information exchanged -- Both sides' tourism companies pay visits to each other every year to do research on co-exploration of tourism market Stepping up the construction of Pan-Pearl River Delta tourism business website to stimulate inter-provincial investment in tourism sectors. -- Stepping up the construction of Pan-Pearl River Delta tourism business website to stimulate inter-provincial investment in tourism sectors. -- Setting up interactive mechanism for tourism appeal and emergency management
Meanwhile, the travel agencies as China Travel Service Ltd. and GZL International Travel Service Ltd. in the two provinces sign agreements and will market a series of cross-provincial package tours.
