Designer Outlet Maasmechelen Village is transformed into a full-scale art gallery

Maasmechelen Village is by far the most popular shopping destination in Belgium. This spacious shopping centre in Maasmechelen in Limburg features more than 100 international stores filled with renowned luxury brands of designer clothing, accessories, sport clothing, design and much, much more.

Maasmechelen Village is part of the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages Group and is known for its charming atmosphere, its welcoming, and superior, service and a wide range of events. In the luxurious boutiques of Maasmechelen Village, you will find the world's best-known designer labels discounted by 30% to 60% in comparison to their original retail prices. And you will find this all year long.

Chinese visitors to Maasmechelen Village may also use their China UnionPay Cards here. At Maasmechelen Village, you can purchase a Maasmechelen Village Prepaid MasterCard® Gift Card and pay for it with the China UnionPay Card. In several of the boutiques, you can even pay directly with your China UnionPay Card: Devernois, Gaastra Footwear, Kipling, Lacoste, Rodania & Co. and Schiesser.

Until the end of December, Maasmechelen Village will be transformed into a true-to-life art gallery. The designer village is hosting an eccentric art collection to enhance your shopping experience.

KRJST is the name of the featured artists' collective directed by Erika Schillebeeckx and Justine de Moriamé. Both of these artists are considered part of the ‘New Wave’ of Belgian designers. Up until now, this customised makeover of Maasmechelen Village is their largest project and is part of the Best of Belgium campaign. With this campaign, Maasmechelen Village is celebrating the best of Belgian culture, fashion, cuisine and art.

“For a period of three months, guests of Maasmechelen Village will have the chance to discover these art installations, including gorgeous wall decorations in textile and prints,” explains David Winkels. “A special gallery will provide extra space for visitors to experience a unique, multi-sensory journey. During the Christmas season, a specially designed ‘KRJSTmas Tree’ will be sure to spread even more holiday cheer to our visitors.”

“With this project, we want to give our guests an extraordinary experience,” concludes David Winkels from Maasmechelen Village. “Throughout the years, our Villages have developed into destinations where eating, art and fashion fit together seamlessly, creating captivating experiences for all. The collaboration with KRJST, with which we want to pay homage to the best of what Belgium has to offer, reflects our dedication to and involvement in celebrating the uniqueness of our country together with our sophisticated guests from all over the world.”
