The per capita income of urban and rural resident in Guangdong, along with their consumption capability, has grown steadily, creating a huge market space. In 2013, the urban per capita disposable income of the province was RMB 33,090 and the rural per capita net income was RMB 11,669. The total retail sales value of consumer goods was RMB 2.54539 trillion, ranked as No.1 in the country for 31 consecutive years.
