The 2010 Asian Games Village will be in Guangzhou New Town in Panyu District, the Guangzhou Daily reported.

Details are contained in "Asian cities_Guangzhou, City Planning Platform for 2010 Asian Games Village", a booklet compiled by the Guangzhou government.

Two centers and four-towns are planned for Guangzhou New Town for the 2010 Asian Games Village. The two centers are the Guangdong Olympics center and the Tianhe District Sports Center. The four towns are Asian Games New Town (Huang village), University town, Baiyun New Town and Huadi New Town.

Guangzhou New Town in Panyu District includes Dongyong Town, Yuwo Town, east to Beimianshi Bridge, and part of Shibi Town, Shilou Town and Hualong Town. The size of the new towns is estimated at more than 200 square kms.

There will be 32 to 34 sports in the 2010 Asian Games. Besides beach volleyball and sailing, which will be held in Shanwei, all other games are to be, played in the 85 sports halls in Guangzhou.
