Myriad people run to support GZ's Asiad bid

Some 12,000 citizens took part in a four-kilometer marathon Sunday morning (April 10) to boost Guangzhou's Asian Games bid.

Being the first large-scale mass event organized by the Guangzhou 2010 Asiad Games Bid Committee since its official set-up on April 8th, the event was actively participated by Cantonese, students and families, including 15 world champions.

Source with the Committee reveals that other activities of this kind are also coming up in a bid to promote Guangzhou's bid for the Games.

Xu Deli,vice governor of Guangdong province and Li Zhuobin,vice mayor of Guangzhou also took part in the event.
