If Guangzhou succeeds in its 2010 Asian Games bid, the city will invest 6 billion yuan in sports facilities.
The bid file submitted to the OCA says that the Guangzhou Asian Games will have 44 competition venues and 44 training venues. The city will build 10 competition venues and refurbish or transform some existing stadiums.
An Asian Games village will be built near the Guangdong Olympic Center in Huangpu district.
