As the 2010 Asian Games bid result's revealing day is just around the corner, Guangzhou recently publishes a picture album named "China's Guangzhou", in a bid to show the beauty of the city to the world.

The album, composed of four editions, will be released recently showcasing the history and characters of Guangzhou through lens.

ZHEN-HAI  TOWER

ZHEN-HAI TOWER:
A tower of more than 600 years history and the only remaining part of the original city, it contains five floors of exhibits, including ceramics and the maritime history.

THE TOMB OF NANYUE KING

THE TOMB OF NANYUE KING:
Excavated in 1983, it is the tomb of the second prince of the Western Han Dynasty of 2,100 years ago. More than 2,000 cultural relics unearthed in the tomb are of great value for the study of the politics, economy and people's life of south China at that era.

THE ANCESTRAL TEMPLE OF THE CHEN FAMILY

THE ANCESTRAL TEMPLE OF THE CHEN FAMILY:
Well furnished with a strong local architectural style, the hall was built between 1890-1894, to serve as the ancestor temple of the Chens in 72 counties in Guangdong, as well as a learning academy for their descendants.

THE HUANG PU MILITARY ACADEMY

THE HUANG PU MILITARY ACADEMY:
The Huang Pu Military Academy, also the School of Army Officers, was established by Sun Yat-sen for training military officers in June, 1924, when the CCP and Kuomintang saw their first cooperation.

THE SUN YAT-SEN MEMORIAL HALL

THE SUN YAT-SEN MEMORIAL HALL:
Situated in the original site of Sun Yat-sen's presidential office, The Sun Yat-sen memorial hall is built with funds raised by the Guangzhou people and overseas Chinese to commemorate Sun Yat-sen, the great forerunner of China's democratic revolution. The hall was designed by Lu Yanzhi, a famous Chinese architect. The construction was started at 1929 and completed at 1931.

SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL

SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL:
Completed in 1888, it's the most splendid Catholic cathedral in Guangzhou parish. The cathedral is also known as" Shi Shi" (Stone-Chamber) because all its walls and poles are made of granite.

THE HUALIN TEMPLE

THE HUALIN TEMPLE:
The Hualin temple was constructed during the Southern Dynasties, soon after the arrival of Dharma the Indian monk.

THE HUAISHENG MOSQUE

THE HUAISHENG MOSQUE:
The 1300 years old Huaisheng Mosque is the earliest mosque built in China after Islam made its way into the country.
