The site of opium burning pool is located in Humen, Dongguan. During 1800 to1839, British shipped huge amount of opium to China. On June 3rd, 1839, the imperial envoy, Lin Zexu, to fight against the opium smuggle, held a gathering for buring 1,188 ton opium, which gave the world a shock and became an important page in the world's anti-drug history.
