Leaderette: The Gotheborg symbolized 260 years of friendly relations between Sweden and China, and would promote exchanges between the two countries.

Route: Along the route to China, the Swedish ship Gotheborg called at Cadiz in Spain, Recife in Brazil, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth in South Africa, Fremantle in Australia and Jakarta in Indonesia. A crew of 19 people and another 60 volunteer apprentices work together under the commanding officer Gunnar Silfverberg-Utgaard, who has 35 years of experience at sea.
