The replica Swedish ship Gotheborg held its last day of visits from the public yesterday, (Aug. 13) receiving over 5,000 visitors. Guangzhou Tourism Bureau Director Li Wenyao said that the number of visitors recorded yesterday was the most they had seen in a single day since it was first opened to the public July 23. According to the organizing committee, the ship's visit has attracted over 2 million visitors to participate the ship-related activities and more than 100 domestic and international media has covered the event. The Swedish ship is scheduled to leave Guangzhou for Shanghai on Aug. 19.
