Guangzhou to strengthen Service industry

Secretary of Guangzhou CPC Committee Lin Shusen yesterday (Aug 30) said that Guangzhou should focus on developing its service industry as China's manufacturing industry is now overdeveloped.

He pointed out that, from 2006 to 2010, Guangzhou's tertiary proportion should account for over 70 percent of all industries.

Lin put forward that to enhance the service industry, Guangzhou should explore the information, finance and logistics markets.
