Tomorrow, Guangzhou University Town will start to use LNG imported from Australia, becoming the first community of the city to do so. The canteens of the 10 universities and the households there will switch to LNG from tomorrow.
Tonight the canteens will add changing adaptors to their cooking stoves to make them suitable for LNG use. The manager of the No.1 canteen of Guangdong University of Guangdong studies said students shall prepare breakfast themselves Saturday morning (Aug 26) while the supper and dinner supply of the canteen will not be affected.
Whether the LNG usage will cause price hike of dishes in those canteens is still unknown.
