Dancers from Hawaii bring Guangdong people outstanding performance
An artistic performance is staged in the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Wednesday (June 15) evening, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Sister State-Province Relationship between Hawaii and Guangdong.
Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, said in his welcome speech that with the effort of both regions, Guangdong and Hawaii will embrace promising future.
According to Linda Lingle, Governor of Hawaii, the Guangdong-Hawaii friendship is extremely important because 80% of Hawaii citizen of Chinese origin may trace back to Guangdong Province.
Hawaii and Guangdong will take the 20th anniversary of the Sister State -province Relationship as an opportunity to enhance the friendship between the United States of America and China and will make new efforts to promote the social and economic development in both regions.
Governor Lingle and her delegation members enjoyed classical and modern Chinese performances which unfolded a dynamic Guangdong, and they also brought Guangdong people romantic traditional Hawaii performance.
The guests were marveled by the artists and applauded many times for their excellent performances.
The mission will leave Guangdong Tuesday (June 16) morning for a four-day visit to South Korea.
