Zhuhai Technology Innovation Beach, a science and technology industrial park in Zhuhai, Guangdong, has developed itself as a hi-tech industry cluster with information industry and biological pharmacy as its key industries.

Zhuhai Technology Innovation Beach, which started to build from Aug, 2000, is an important part of Zhuhai National Level High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

In the past 3 years, it successfully launched industrial bases including the national software industrial base, integrate circuit designing and producing base of Guangdong, new economic resources development base of Haerbing Institute of Technology, Tsinghua Science Park, and an exemplary base specialized in converting high-tech research result to production in Guangdong.

The industrial park with an area of 3.58 sq km has attracted 206 projects, involving 2.5 billion yuan ($ 30.2 million). In the years 2000-2003, the Gross Output Value of Industry (GOVI) increases from 200 million yuan ($2.42 million) to 990 million yuan ($11. 96 million), and the revenue increases from 2.87 million yuan (0.35 million) to 92.31 million yuan ($11.15 million).

In the coming 5 years, the GOVI will reach 15 billion yuan ($181.23 million) and the revenue will exceed 1 billion yuan ($12.08 million).
