Shenzhen has been nominated one of the cities with the world's greatest development potential by a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
United States-based Jones Lang LaSalle recently finished a research project that dealt with 500 cities throughout the world. The research came up with a list of 24 cities considered to have the greatest potential in development. Eight Chinese cities?aone of them Shenzhen?aare among the 24.
The report says that Shenzhen, with comprehensive infrastructure, an ideal business environment and many talents, has the potential to develop into a dynamic regional metropolis.
The other seven Chinese cities nominated were Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Dalian, Chongqing and Xi'an.
Jones Lang LaSalle launched the research project early last year. It assessed 500 cities using 25 criteria in three areas: economy, environment and scientific advancement.
