Happy Valley

In cooperation with two world famous companies, Warner Music and Pepsi, and two popular local music radio channels, Flying Radio and Power FM, Happy Valley theme park will hold a first-class music festival - the 2004 Shenzhen Happy Valley & Pepsi Pop Music Festival. Held during the Christmas period and New Year, this festival is sure to add to the festive cheer!

As the largest of the three theme parks run by the Overseas Chinese Town, and also the largest one in China, Happy Valley comprises of eight main theme zones - Spanish Square, Cartoon City, Mt. Adventure, Happy Island, Goldmine Town, Shangri-La Forest, Typhoon Bay and Sunshine Beach. Most of the more than 100 amusement attractions in the park are imported from the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, and some of them have been introduced to Asia for the first time, including the 26-meter Shoot the Chute - the world's highest water-slide ride and China's first suspended looping roller coaster. Additional rides also include a mine train roller coaster, a miniature steam train ride, Asia's highest and China's first thriller tower-space shot and Asia's first 4D theater with combination of vision, audio, touch and action experiences.

Several Warner Music pop singers will be at the music festival. Pu Shu, Jin Haixin, Zhou Xun and others will perform, and fans will also find some local bands. Hosts from Flying Radio and Power FM will also be present.

During the festival, more than 30 singers and pop groups will take to the stage. The program will be different every night, with the Golden Fairy Beauty's Night for Friday, the Blue Dream Pleasant Night for Saturday, the Red Classical Rock'n'roll Night for Sunday, the White Naivete Romantic Night on Dec. 31 and the Orange Storm Passionate Night on Jan. 2.

Window of the World

Kind Santa Claus comes on his sledge carrying various gifts. Holy hymns resound around a church. The newly decorated Eiffel Tower wishes visitors good luck. This is what is on offer during the Christmas period at Window of the World.

With an area of 480,000 square meters, Window of the World comprises marvelous sights, including natural landscapes, folklore and fantasies. There are quite a lot of the world's wonders on show, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Niagara Falls and the volcanoes of Hawaii. Visitors can also have fun at attractions like the Alps Indoor Ski Dome, the Grand Canyon Flume Ride and the Pyramid Fantasy Hall. At the entrance of the park is World Square, where a big show, Cradle of Civilization, is given every evening.

A large Christmas party is being prepared at Window of the World. Visitors will find a dancing carnival, a European wedding, military band performances, classical Christmas plays and Christmas parades in the theme park. The 108-meter-tall Eiffel Tower will be lit up during the holidays with four types of lights.

5th China International Landscape and Flora Exposition Park

The expo park, a natural oxygen bar, provides a new venue for celebrations. Its usual tranquility will be changed to the gaiety of revelers on Christmas Eve. From 8 p.m., a variety of shows will be staged, interspersed with interactive activities in the Happy Theater.

You can count down to Christmas Day after sweating it out on the disco dance floor. In the square near the Magic Wall, an exciting masquerade will begin at 9 p.m.

Single people will have the opportunity to find dancing partners by tagging their information to Christmas trees. Various other activities are on offer, including one that offers a free silver, gold or platinum ring to any couple who can fit the ring perfectly.
